Singles Retreats, Weekend Seminars, Weekly Workshops, Sunday Sermons, etc.

I want to help your church
meet the needs of your singles and
make an impact on your community.

My name is Craig Henry and I have over 20 years of experience adding value to the lives of thousands of single adults. I believe this is God's calling upon my life. I am now making myself available to speak at retreats, conferences, and seminars
on weekends (nationally), weekly workshops (Ohio and nearby), leadership training, pulpit supply, and much more.

For my resume go to:

Here are eight workshops for singles that I have put together over the past few years. Scroll down for more details of each workshop.
  • Successful Relationships Workshop - presented 17 times to 2500 people. SRW is based on research done for my doctoral dissertation. This has been my most popular workshop for the last ten years.
  • Divorce Recovery Workshop - presented 50+ times to over 4000 people. DRW is based partially upon my life experience as a child of divorce, single parent kid, and blended family member and by investing hundreds of hours in pastoral counseling with those affected by divorce.
  • Communication Workshop - How to become a people person and a great communicator--enrich your life and others'.
  • Making the Most of the Single Season - Christian single living at its best--how to maximize your life as a single Christian.
  • Mastering Your Emotions - defeat fear, stress, depression, anger and guilt, plus how to cultivate hope, happiness, and healthy habits of the mind.
  • Relationship Red Flags - avoiding preventable mistakes when dating; how to avoid unhealthy relationships. These red flags are ones I have observed in hundreds of painful romantic relationship break-ups and in the aftermath of thousands of divorces.
  • Developing an Intimate Relationship with God - how to grow closer to God. Find your identity in Christ.
  • Grief Recovery Workshop - coping with the death of a loved one (spouse, child, parent, friend, etc.). Experience help, hope and healing. I've spent 13 years involved with Grief Recovery. Presented from the standpoint of a fellow-griever.
Of course I have lots of other topics, like Boundaries and Safe People and lots of biblical studies, but I am recommending these topics because…
  • I love the format of workshops with Power Point, a workbook or handouts, people studying the textbook during the week, small group talk-it-over time, unique marketability, etc.
  • These are some of my favorite topics to present. I am passionate about these issues.
  • They are based on single adults’ felt needs (and they are not likely to get this input elsewhere)
  • They are tried and true (lots of positive feedback)
  • They get better every time we do them
  • Also, the workshop alumni recruit people to come the next time it is offered because they know it is going to be good
I have lots of other ideas, too. Let me know if there are certain subjects you have in mind.

You will note that they are all described as 8-session workshops, but they can be condensed/expanded to fit your format/needs. Our workshops are usually an hour in the large group and an hour in small group discussion. That, too of course, can be adjusted.

For a weekend event, the format can be adjusted to fit your specific needs with 3-5 sessions. It could be a Friday night/Saturday singles conference, a Saturday seminar, etc. Sometimes I stay over and preach in the church service(s) or teach during the Christian Education hour.

Let me know if any of these appeal to you.

In Christ,
Craig Henry
